Our Boiler Services provides inspection services, situation evaluationand repairs as well as fundamental spare parts for steam boilers, ancillary burners, economizers and their control systems. In our workshop boiler and heat exchanger tubes are manipulated into almost any configuration by bending or welding.
Wärtsilä Boiler Services provides most types of spare parts for boilers, the majority of which are manufactured in-house. The workshop is "Class I" approved by both Det Norske Veritas and Lloyds Register of Shipping, as well as being approved by Germanischer Lloyd.
Most types of ready bent tubes, steam drums, shell plates, tube sheets, etc. and also more specialised units such as pin-tube elements, membrane tube sections etc. are manufactured.
We have all types of spare parts for boiler and burner systems, such as nozzles, ignition electrodes, transformers, gauge glasses, gaskets, valves, pumps, motors, armatures, electronic print cards, etc. on stock.
We offer a varied range of repair services which is continuously developed to include new fields which may supplement existing services and allow us to provide our clients with a complete package of repair services most of which may be carried out by a single repair team.
Boiler Repair
Depending on each vessels equipment, it is possible to carry out most repairs during vessels sea voyage.
Our travel squads are available on short notice and will meet a vessel anywhere in the world.
Inspection Service
We provide inspection service in order to determine the necessity and extend of repairs. Our inspection service is performed by engineers who are skilled boilermakers.
The service may include the use of highly sophisticated equipment, e.g. u-sonic, fibre endoscopes, magnetoflux etc. to detect and verify any defects. We have several examples that defects discovered by the use of the equipment have saved a considerable sum of money to future repairs as well as assuring that parts with defects not visible by the naked eye have not been kept in continuous service with risk to both equipment and personnel.
Burner Service
In order to operate a boiler plant as economical and environmentally friendly as possible a proper adjustment of the burner is essential.
Whether the required service is a simple adjustment or an advanced commissioning of the plant we have the engineers with experience to perform the job.
Several examples show that the cost of a service engineer is saved by the improved efficiency of the plant combined with the operational savings when soot problems and excessive cleaning are kept at a minimum.
